COLTESSE SS14 For the third collection, for the first time Coltesse releases a complete wardrobe. Driven by the two first collections’ success, the label kept searching for new materials and combinations and extended their style to new pieces; T-shirts, shirts, trousers, shorts and jackets. You will notice a mineral spirit in the whole line, symbolising the coolness of stone in summer, and the brand’s love for pure materials.

Amongst the new models, is the bi-material shirt « Piero » with a jersey back, knitted with the same yarn as the second fabric used in the shirt. The jersey back brings a touch of casual to a smart and sophisticated shirt. A perfect illustration of Coltesse « practical elegance ». For the first time, a short sleeves shirt appears in the collection, and as the label likes to play with volumes and shapes, the design is rejuvenated with slightly longer and wider sleeves. A three quarter sleeves shirt makes an entrance as well, with the classical round collar, a speciality of the house. There are two types of shorts this summer: the first pair, made of fleece for a sporty style, the second pair, smarter, made in a japanese fabric with invisible zipped pockets. And for the mid-season nights, Coltesse created its first coat without buttons but instead with a magnet closure, for easy fastening. Finally, one last beautiful novelty : a sweater knitted in a traditional workshop in Brittany.

This collection is perfectly in tune with the brand’s passion to play with materials and details and defines Coltesse as a label with a strong, elegant and yet discreet identity.

COLTESSE BRAND Founded in Paris in 2012, Coltesse explores premium materials through minimalistic designs and a unique approach to detail and finish. The materials are imported from Japan and Italy and they are subjected to meticulous sourcing before passing through Florent Coltesse’s hands, founder and designer, to be shaped and transformed in France.

The Coltesse collection aims to rejuvenate the classics. It is all about « practical elegance », a contrasting but harmonious mix of sophisticated and casual. This is the reason why the name of the brand, Coltesse, refers to Bernard-Marie Koltès. This modern french author used to interpret classics from his very personal point of view. Like him, Coltesse intend to spread its vision of style beyond France, specifically in Asia, where it’s discreet sophistication already shows growing success.
